This guided tour begins in Maun where you will paddle through the Okavango Delta by mokoro and explore nature on a delta island. For a chance to see lions, elephants, leopards, and rhinos, continue with a safari in Moremi Game Reserve. Finally, a Thamalakane River Boat Cruise gives you the opportunity to spot hippos in their natural habitat, for the best of Botswana’s animal kingdom.
1st Day: Canada - Night on board
Arrive at your departure airport, ready for a flight to Maun, in Botswana. Night on board.
* If your outbound flight leaves at dawn (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the selected departure day.
2nd Day: Continue your journey to Botswana
3rd Day: Maun
Arrive at Maun Airport, gateway to the Okavango Delta, and transfer to the hotel on the banks of the Thamalakane River.
Settle in and enjoy the hotel's relaxed riverside setting after your international journey.
The rest of the day is at leisure to relax at the hotel, take in the surroundings or prepare for the adventure ahead.

4th Day: Maun - Okavango Delta - Maun
Breakfast at the hotel.
After breakfast, depart for a full-day Okavango Delta mokoro excursion. Glide through crystal-clear channels by traditional dugout canoe, guided by an experienced poler.
Continue with a guided nature walk on a delta island, where your guide will draw your attention to the delta’s secrets: animal tracks, rare plants, birds, and seasonal wildlife.
Enjoy a packed lunch surrounded by nature before returning to Maun for an afternoon at leisure.

Those wishing for more adventure can arrange one of several optional activities, including scenic helicopter or light aircraft flights over the Okavango Delta*; a second day's safari in Moremi Game Reserve**; or a guided excursion to local communities***.
Dinner is for your own account at the hotel restaurant or a nearby dining spot.

Room allocation: We will do our best to accommodate your family in the same room. If availability doesn't permit this, we guarantee your family will be accommodated as close together as possible. Children will always be accomodated in a room with at least 1 adult.
