Itinerary

Embark on a cruise of the Danube and discover Central Europe’s capitals: all with full board included! Begin your adventure in Vienna before heading into the Wachau valley, losing yourself in the sites of Dürnstein, Melk, and Linz. Double back towards Bratislava & Budapest, then end your trip by dining with the ship’s captain.

1st Day: UK/Ireland - Vienna

Excited to take a journey through the heart of Central Europe? Arrive* at your chosen airport in the UK/Ireland ready for a flight to Vienna, Austria. Depending on what time you land, you may have several hours at your disposal to explore the city before heading to our ship**.

Begin boarding at 16:00, get settled in your cabin and enjoy a welcome cocktail and your first dinner on board. The cruise includes full board, so three meals per day are served on the ship from this point onwards. Overnight on board.

*If either your outbound or inbound flights depart in the early hours (before 4:00 a.m.) you must arrive at the airport the night before the indicated departure day.

**A private transfer from the airport to the departure port of the cruise can be added in the next step of the booking process.

2nd Day: Vienna

Full board included. After breakfast, enjoy the full day to explore Vienna independently. 

Discover the Austrian capital’s best-known buildings, including the world-famous Opera House, the Parliament Building, the Burgtheater, and of course the spectacular Hofburg Imperial Palace.

Return to the ship for dinner and overnight on board. Set sail for the Wachau valley!

3rd Day: Vienna - Melk - Dürnstein

Full board included. Early in the morning, you will moor in Melk, a small town located in the heart of the stunning Wachau Valley, renowned worldwide for its Benedictine Abbey perched on a rock overlooking the river.

After lunch, you will arrive in Dürnstein, a charming village with a medieval castle in the winding Wachau Valley. From the pier, you can directly access the historic city center on foot, passing through the medieval city gates to reach Pranger Square. Here, you'll enjoy a beautiful view of the castle ruins, famous for being the place where Richard the Lionheart was supposedly imprisoned. Don't miss the opportunity to taste the typical wines of the Wachau region. In the late afternoon, the boat will depart from Dürnstein and sail towards Hungary. Night on board.

4th Day: Dürnstein - Esztergom - Budapest

After lunch, you will arrive in Esztergom, a significant location in Hungarian history, as it was the first capital of the Kingdom of Hungary and where the first King, Stephen I, was crowned in the year 1000. The Esztergom Basilica, the largest church in Hungary, is a symbol of the city and houses the largest organ in Hungary. At dinner time, you will set sail for Budapest, arriving at midnight. Night stopover in the city. Night on board.

5th Day: Budapest

Full board included. Today, you will spend the entire day in the capital of Hungary. The Danube River separates Buda and Pest, two great cities that form one of Europe's most important capitals. Huge bridges connect both banks, uniting Buda, the former royal seat and most elegant residential area, with Pest, the economic and commercial heart of the city. Enjoy a night stopover to experience Budapest at night, when the city truly comes alive. Night on board.

6th Day: Budapest

Full board included. Until lunch, the boat will remain anchored in Budapest, allowing you to visit this wonderful city. You might take tram number 2 from Margaret Bridge to Petőfi Bridge or dip into one of Budapest's world-famous thermal baths, such as Széchenyi or Gellért. In the afternoon, enjoy the views of the Danube and its banks. Night on board.

7th Day: Budapest - Bratislava

Full board included. Early in the morning, you will arrive in Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia. Discover the main atractions of this imperial city on your own, visit the National Theater, the Cathedral of St. Martin, Michael's Gate, the old town hall, and the impressive fortress atop a rock. In the afternoon, the boat will depart for Vienna. In the evening, enjoy the captain's dinner. Night on board.

8th Day: Bratislava - Vienna - UK/Ireland
