Breakfast at the hotel. Begin your day with a visit to the famous Diamond Beach, just a short drive from Jokulsarlon. The black sand is scattered with ice chunks that sparkle like diamonds in the sunlight.

Next, explore the Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, where enormous blue and white icebergs break off from Vatnajokull Glacier. This natural wonder is a must-see in southeast Iceland. While at the lagoon, enjoy an amphibian boat tour among the icebergs, with an English-speaking guide who explains the geology and history of the area. You can even taste 1,000-year-old ice, and if you’re lucky, spot some playful seals.

On the way back toward Reykjavik, make additional stops at the Eldhraun Lava Fields and the Bridge of the Volcanoes. And if time allows, stop in Vik to explore this charming South Coast village. Overnight stay in Reykjavik.

Note: Additional stops may change depending on time, weather, or hotel location.
