Tourist attractions Castillo de Peles

Peleș Castle is located in the picturesque town of Sinaia, in the heart of Romania’s Carpathian Mountains. Built between 1873 and 1914 at the request of King Carol I of Romania, it is an architectural gem blending Neo-Renaissance, Gothic, and Baroque styles, with interiors richly decorated with carved wood, frescoes, and tapestries. Surrounded by forests and mountains, the castle looks like something out of a fairy tale and was one of the first royal residences in Europe to have electricity. Among its most remarkable rooms are the Hall of Honor, the Armory, and the Royal Library, which features a secret door hidden behind a bookshelf.
