It is home to one of the best known markets in Buenos Aires, which takes place in the Plaza Dorrego square every Sunday. The neighbourhood is rooted in art and literature, and is home to a range of museums and exhibitions devoted to tango. The neighbourhood is also home to the statue of Mafalda, Quino’s illustrated character, who sits on a bench waiting for tourists to take photos with her.
