Tourist attractions Langkawi

Known as the jewel of Kedah, this archipelago located in northern Malaysia, just on the border with Thailand, is one of the country's true paradises. It is composed of almost a hundred islands that dot the Andaman Sea, although only four of them are inhabited. These are: Langkawi (the main island), Tuba, Rebak and Dayang Bunting. In addition to its coast surrounded by white sand and bathed by crystal clear waters, one of the characteristics of this set of islands are their abundant nature and wildlife. Three of its national parks have been valued as conservation areas and UNESCO considers them World Geoparks. These reserves are Kilim Karst Geoforestal Park, Machincang Geoforest Cambrian Park and the Dayang Bunting Marble Geoforest Park, where the popular Lake of the Pregnant Maiden is located which is one of the main attractions of the islands. There are several tours that allow you to explore these three places, make routes through the dense vegetation and enjoy the richness of its fauna such as monkeys or lizards. The islands of Lankawi are also known for their wide range of activities such as snorkeling, scuba diving and inland hiking trails.
